On July 3rd-7th, Sigma Nu brothers from across North America will meet in Boston for the 64th Grand Chapter. Mu Chapter will look on with pride as alumnus Robert Durham, M 1650, takes the gavel to become Regent of Sigma Nu. Brother Durham served as Mu Chapter Commander for two terms and currently sits on the High Council of Sigma Nu Fraternity as Regent-Elect. Additionally, the active chapter will participate in legislative sessions and other activities, and enjoy fraternal fellowship with members of other chapters.
WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND
Mu Chapter received national recognition at last year’s College of Chapters. We took home the Manpower Award as well as two Pursuit of Excellence awards: the Operational Excellence Award and Values Based Leadership Award. Mu Chapter was the only chapter to receive both Pursuit of Excellence awards. In addition, George Ward, M 2308, was recognized as an Alpha Affiliate and Verner Chaffin, M 621, received the Regent’s Medallion of Merit.
Mu Chapter is in strong consideration for this year’s Rock Chapter award, which honors collegiate chapters that have achieved excellence in all areas of chapter operations. In other words, Rock Chapter award recipients are chapters which consistently achieve excellent ratings over a period of 2-3 years under the Pursuit of Excellence Program.
