On March 22, Regent-Elect Robert Durham, M 1650, joined the brothers of Mu Chapter
for dinner and participated in the Alumni Speaker Series.
Mr. Durham spoke of his pride in Mu’s resurgence and the example it sets for other chapters nationwide, while encouraging the active chapter to focus on recruiting the best and brightest in the coming years. Moving forward, he reminded the chapter that “there is no honor in mediocrity,” and that Mu must continue its success in academics and extracurricular involvement in order to gain further respect and pave the way for future generations of campus leaders.
Mr. Durham served as Commander for two terms during his time at the University of Georgia and will assume the Regency this July at Grand Chapter in Boston. He currently serves as managing director of the Private Banking USA business in Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC and the head of their Atlanta office. Additionally, Durham serves on the Mu Chapter Alumni Advisory Board and was a vice-chairman of Mu’s recent capital campaign.
We are thankful for the many alumni who continue to give back and support the active chapter, and appreciate Regent-Elect Durham taking the time to share his words of wisdom with our brothers and candidates.
